Term 2 Week 6 Monday 24th May
Our Prayer This Week
From the Principal
Dear parents and members of our community,
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and community of Merrivale after the fatality last week. It is a stark reminder of the fragility of life and the huge responsibility given to those caring for children.
Catholic Education Week - Open Days
This week is Catholic Education Week and we are inviting prospective and current families to come through the school to see us in action. Restrictions on school tours have lifted so families are now welcome to book a tour at the school office to help make their decision with enrolments of students in 2022.
Catholic Education Week Celebrations
On Tuesday the school will celebrate mass together at 10:30am at St Colman's Church. Between playtime and lunchtime the children will participate in some fun activities around Catholic Education.
HCSN Activity Day
As a way to celebrate Catholic Education week as a network and to provide a transition opportunity for our students, we will be conducting our Hampden Catholic Schools Network activity day this Friday.
The students from the 3 schools will travel to the following destinations for the day
Foundation - St Thomas' Terang
Grade 1 & 2 - St Patrick's Camperdown
Grade 3 & 4 - St Colman's
Grade 5 & 6 - Mercy Noorat
At these locations the children will be involved in a liturgy and participate in some fun activities together.
PAM permission forms will be made available this week. Students will need to wear their Sport Uniform on the day
Online Raffle
It is almost four weeks since we launched our Online Raffle and so far we have sold 213 tickets. We thank all those school families who have already purchased tickets.
We are heavily reliant on your support to make this raffle a success so that we do not have to do any other fundraisers this year. We have not charged a $200 Fundraising Levy this year so we are expecting that you will purchase or sell eight tickets per family to make up for this.
We are aiming to sell at least 400 tickets so we have a way to go yet. If you need any more flyers, please call in to the School Office.
Thankyou in anticipation.

Tri Sports
We will be participating in the Aunnual Tri Sports day Friday the 4th of June where the Grade 5 & 6 students play either netball, football or soccer in Terang against other schools in the district. We will bne combining with St Thomas' on the day help make up the numbers.
Kinder Visit
We are excited by the prospect of a visit from the students and staff of the Mortlake Kindergarten after not seeing them as a group last year. The first of our transition visits will be on Monday 31st of May.
Birthday Greetings
Happy Birthday to
