Term 3 Week 9 Monday 7th September
Our Prayer This Week
From the principal
Dear parents, guardians and students,
We begin this week seeking clarity on the impact the changes to restrictions will have on our school. The full extent of the announcements made by the premier on Sunday have been clarified today by the Catholic Education Commission Victoria (CECV) and we have greater certainty of how this term will end and how Term 4 will begin. We are to continue remote learning for all in Term 3 until Friday 18th of September and for week 1 of Term 4 from the 5th to the 9th of October. Schools are then able to reintroduce students across week 2 beginning Monday the 12th of October. Being a smaller school, we are hoping to have all year levels begin on this day and commence onsite learning with precautions in place to keep everyone safe. We will continue to keep you informed as the details become clear.
Father's Day Clip
Thank you to our parents for supplying the images used to create this wonderful clip to celebrate a Father's Day like no other. Congratulations Brianna on producing such a beautiful tribute to our Dads and carers.
Camps and Excursions
With the continuing state of the pandemic in Victoria we will be unable to run our school camps and excursions as they were planned in Term 4. This will be a huge disappointment for our students and we will need to be aware of their wellbeing at this news. We will look closely at what options are available for alternative events that comply with the restrictions in place at the time.
Little People, Big Feelings
There is a free webinar on tonight that may be of interest to parents. It is presented by Dr. Justin Coulson and it is in regards to kids feelings.
Library Books and Readers
Many Middle and Senior students must be needing new readers or library books to continue their reading for the rest of this term and over the holidays. Parents are welcome to contact the school and we will have some new books to be picked up at school or to be dropped off on our Friday delivery run.
